The subjects of this study were 417 mothers located in Seoul and the surrounding metropolitan area. The data were analyzed by Pearson\'s correlations, two-way ANOVA, and a multiple regression. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, there was no difference between the boys and girls in terms of the mother\'s attachment to the infant. There was no significant difference found between the different age groups of the infants. Second, the analysis showed that a mother\'s attachment to her infant was related to the marital satisfaction, spousal support. Third, a mother\'s attachment to her infant was deeply related with the attachment security that the mother formed with her own mother during infancy.
