The data utilized was taken from A Survey on Actual Conditions of Children and Adolescents 2008(N=2306) and the analysis method used was Structural Equation Modeling by using SPSS15.0 and AMOS 7.0. Our results demonstrate that poverty status has a direct influence on juvenile delinquency. Additionally, poverty status influences juvenile delinquency through both abuse and neglect. Thus, these results proved the partial mediation of abuse and neglect. This study suggests the necessity of both intervention as well as the development and implementation of practical methods for the prevention of juvenile delinquency. Key words : poverty status, abuse and neglect, juvenile delinquency, mediation effect
