\"This study investigated whether the father\'s and mother\'s birth intention would affect on their caregiving involvement, and whether their caregiving involvements could have significant influences on their infant\'s development. Specifically this study investigated such influences by a father model and a mother model, respectively. For this purpose, the researcher used data from the Korean Youth Panel Study of KICCEE (Korea Institute of Child Care & Education). A total of 1685 children were selected (860 boys, 825 girls), and their average months was 5.6 month(SD=1.2). As the result of structural equation, both the father\'s and the mother\'s birth planning had significant influences on their caregiving involvement level respectively. But the mother\'s caregiving involvement only had significant influence on the infant\'s development and the father\'s caregiving involvement didn\'t affect on the infant\'s development.
