Effects of Child\'s percieved happiness and Daily Stress on their School life adjustment: Focusing on Students in Fifth and Sixth Grade of Elementary School

ABSTRACT
\"This study examines the effect of child\'s perceived happiness and daily stress on their school life adjustment. The survey of 429 students in Grade 5, 6 from several elementary schools located in Seoul was conducted and the data was analyzed by using SPSS 15.0 software. Frequency analysis was performed in order to understand gender distribution and characteristics of personal environmental variables. of the subjects. In addition, t-test, correlation analysis, F-test, regression analysis were performed for examining school life adjustment differences by gender and grades, relations between variables. The main research results are as follows; (a) in terms of school life adjustment according to gender, girls\' adaptability to school life is higher than boys\'. (b) in terms of school life adjustment according to grades, 5 graders\' adaptability to school life is higher than 6 graders\'. (c) in terms of school life adjustment according to standard of living of his/her family, children perceiving it as the middle and high level are more adaptable to school life than children perceiving it as the middle and low level. (d) Child\'s perceived happiness has the most powerful effect on his/her school life adjustment among the variables considered in this study.
