Effectiveness of a Program to Promote Creativity & Character through Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

ABSTRACT
This study aims to synthesize the effect size of studies conducted in South Korea for the past 10 years for the purpose of promoting creativity & character through systematic review and meta-analysis. To this end, 36 articles were selected, focusing on journal papers published from January 2011 to April 2021, and meta-analysis was performed using the Combinatorial Meta-Analysis (CMA) program. The analysis results are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing 64 cases extracted from 36 papers, the overall effect size of the creative & character promotion program was .82, which showed a significant educational effect. Second, the effect size of the creative & character sub-factors was in the order of personality, creativity, and creative personality, and at the school level, it appeared in the order of infants, elementary school, college, and secondary school. Third, middle and high school students showed high creativity and personality, and college students showed high creativity. Fourth, the difference according to the control variable showed the highest effect size when the number of times was 20 or more. Through the results of this study, we intend to provide implications for the present and future direction of creative character education throughout infants to college students.
