Fathers\' and mothers\' role practices in facilitating creativity and preschoolers\' creativity

ABSTRACT
This study intended to examine the relation between preschoolers\' creativity and fathers\' or mothers\' role practices in facilitating creativity and sociodemographic variables such as parent\'s occupational types, schooling, and income levels. The subjects were 114 4 or 5-year-olds who were attending day care centers in Daegu and Kimchun and one\' own fathers and mothers respectively. Statistical techniques were t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe\' test(using SPSS 10.0).
Major findings were as follows:
(1). Level of fathers\' or mothers\' role practices in facilitating creativity showed higher when fathers\' occupational type was upper class and fathers or mothers graduated from a university than didn\'t.
(2). Level of preschoolers creativity didn\'t significantly show differences according to fathers\' occupational types, mothers\' employment, fathers\' or mothers\' schooling and income levels.
(3). Level of preschoolers creativity showed higher when level of fathers\' or mothers\' role practices in facilitating creativity were higher and fathers\' role practice in facilitating creativity harmonized with mothers\' than didn\'t.
