A Study on Assessment for Multiple Intelligence of Early Childhood

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to investigate how parents and teachers evaluate multiple intelligence of early childhood. The participants were 119 five years old children, their parents and teachers in fourteen preschools located in Seoul. The data were analyzed using one way ANOVA. The major results of this were as follow: First, there are not statistical differences of multiple intelligence profiles according to the evaluation of parents and teachers. Second, the five years old children\'s intelligence have developed generally and gradually well in seven intelligences. They scored following orders interpersonal intelligence, logical mathematical intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence, linguistic intelligence, spatial intelligence and musical intelligence. Scores on private multiple intelligence distributed widely. Third, results on multiple intelligence research by gender showed some distinctions between musical intelligence, logical mathematical intelligence, linguistic intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence. but no differences on spatial intelligence and bodily kinesthetic intelligence.
