The Development and Validation of a Client Satisfaction Questionnaire on the Multicultural Family Support Service

ABSTRACT
The purpose of the study was to develop and examine the psychometric properties of the Client Satisfaction Questionnaire on the Multicultural Family Support Service. The Client Satisfaction Questionnaire was designed to address key elements of the client’s satisfaction with the services (Korean Education, Job Education, Family Integration Education, and Culture Service Program) provided for multicultural families. The participants 2,774 clients taking Korean Education, 1,254 clients taking Job Education, 1,696 clients taking Family Integration Education, and 1,584 clients taking Culture Service Program at the Multicultural Family Support Center. The Client Satisfaction Questionnaire was developed and tests of both validity and reliability were undertaken. Content validity was assessed by surveying 5 professors and local multicultural service center professionals and the construction validity was assessed via a series of exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. Test-retest reliability and internal consistency of the Client Satisfaction Questionnaire were excellent. The Client Satisfaction Questionnaire performed well in all aspects of both validity and reliability, indicating that it has good psychometric properties and can be a useful tool for measuring client satisfaction with the services provided by the Multicultural Family Support Centers.
