A Study on the Relationship of Internet Pornography Addiction and Psychiatric Symptoms to Sexual Delinquency among Adolescents

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to examine to what extent Internet pornography addiction and sexual delinquency spread among adolescents and what relationship there was between the two. And it\'s additionally attempted to identify how sexual delinquency and psychiatric symptoms were associated with one another. The subjects in this study were 1578 secondary school students. The findings of this study were as follows: First, 7.8 percent of the youngsters investigated were addicted to Internet pornography. Second, 4.0 percent kissed or hugged the opposite sex by force. And 3.0 percent had sexual relations by compulsion. 2.2 percent had ever had sexual relations to get money. Third, the adolescents who had ever committed sexual delinquency such as sexual infamies, rape or youth prostitution showed more psychiatric symptoms than the non-experienced group. Fourth, those who were more showed more psychiatric symptoms were more likely to commit sexual delinquency such as forcible kissing, hugging or sexual relations or sexual dealing. And those who were committed sexual delinquency had experienced clinically significant psychiatric symptoms.
